Afghan Battle Kills 10 Civilians In Pakistan

June 23, 2007 -- Pakistan's military said today that international forces fighting Taliban militants in Afghanistan fired across the border into Pakistan's North Waziristan region, killing 10 Pakistani civilians and wounding 14 others.

Afghanistan's NATO-led International Security Assistance Force said troops clashed with a large group of insurgents near the Pakistani border on June 22 and killed about 40 of them.


In separate violence in North Waziristan, a roadside bombing today killed three Pakistani paramilitary soldiers.
