August 5, 2007 (RFE/RL) -- Afghan President Hamid Karzai arrived in the United States today to open two days of talks with President George W. Bush at the Camp David presidential retreat outside Washington, RFE/RL's Radio Free Afghanistan reported.
The two leaders are expected to discuss issues connected to the fight against Taliban and Al-Qaeda militants in Afghanistan.
The Afghan president's trip to the United States comes amid continuing uncertainty over the fate of 21 South Koreans who have been held hostage by Taliban militants for more than two weeks.
