Tbilisi, 29 November 2003 (RFE/RL) -- Georgian police say that a bomb went off today outside the headquarters of a party opposed to the country's new leaders, shattering windows but causing no death or injuries. Tbilisi's anti-crime police chief David Kekua said that the blast took place outside the Labor Party headquarters.
The party opposed former President Eduard Shevardnadze, who resigned on 23 November amid a wave of popular protests, but it also opposes leaders of the protests.
Labor Party leader Shalva Natelashvili said today that "the junta" of protest leaders Mikhail Saakashvili, Nino Burjanadze, and Zurab Zhvania "have begun a terror [campaign] against" the party.
