At least five people have reportedly been hanged in Iran after being convicted for narcotics-related crimes, according to a rights group.
Iran's Irib News website reported the number of people hanged as seven.
At least four people were hanged in Shiraz in public and, according to the Human Rights Activists News Agency website (HRANA), one more person was hanged in Mashhad.
Irib News reported seven people were hanged in Shiraz – five in public and two in one of the city's prisons.
Iran has reportedly hanged some 20 people convicted of narcotics offenses since early October.
