Balkan Service Correspondent's Documentary Wins Human Rights Award

Milos Teodorovic accepts the Human Rights Award at the International Film Festival in Sarajevo

Milos Teodorovic, a correspondent for RFE/RL's Balkan service in Belgrade, won the Human Rights Award for his documentary film
Heated Blood at the Sarajevo International Film Festival. The award is given annually for the film that best promotes human rights. The film details the growth of right-wing extremism in Serbian society, and warns about disturbing parallels to other fascist and neo-Nazi movements.
Judges included Actress Mirjana Karanovic (Serbia), Benedk Fliegauf (Hungary), Christaina Jeune (France), Anamaria Marinca (Romania) and Wieland Speck (Germany).
Heated Blood also
won this year's award for Excellence in Investigative Reporting from the Independent Journalists' Association of Serbia in May.
The film was co-authored with Ivana Lalic Majdak, and directed by Marko Mamuzic.
