Bombings, Violence Kill At Least 10 In Iraq

At least six people have been killed and more than 10 others wounded in two bombings in a busy area in the center of the Iraqi capital.

Police say a parked explosives-rigged vehicle went off on the morning of May 15 in Baghdad's commercial Karrada neighborhood.

Some reports say it was a suicide bombing.

A few minutes later, a suicide bomber with an explosives belt blew himself up at the gate of a government office.

At least one police officer was among the dead.

The violence comes two days after a spate of bombings across Iraq, including nine car bombs in Baghdad alone, killed more than 40 people.

Meanwhile, in the restive province of Anbar, at least four civilians were killed in shelling in the city of Fallujah, where a military operation is under way against Al-Qaeda affiliated militants.
