Wins For Germany, Denmark As Ukraine Hosts Day Two of Euro 2012
WATCH: What Foreign Fans Think About Ukraine
Germany has beaten Portugal 1-0 in the second day of the Euro 2012 soccer tournament in Poland and Ukraine.
Both sides were pointless at the half, but Germany secured its victory with a goal by striker Mario Gomez in the 72nd minute.
The match, in the western Ukrainian city of Lviv, followed Denmark's 1-0 defeat over the Netherlands in an earlier match in Kharkiv in Ukraine's east.
No disturbances were reported at either of the June 9 matches, which followed an incident earlier this week in which the Dutch team was subject to racial taunts during a training session in the Polish city of Krakow.
The championship focus switches back to Poland on the third day of play on June 10, with Spain meeting Italy in Gdansk and an Ireland-Croatia match in Poznan.
