Police say the president of Kosovo's privatization agency, Dino Asanaj, has been murdered in Pristina.
A police spokesman said Asanaj was attacked in his home.
He was rushed to hospital but died of stab wounds.
Police did not disclose details because they were still investigating.
Kosovo media had linked Asanaj to several corruption affairs, including an alleged attempt to extort millions of dollars from the buyer of a former state-owned hotel in the capital.
