A Serbian nationalist suspect has filed a 2-million-euro ($2.6 million) claim for compensation from the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia, accusing it of human rights violations.
Vojislav Seselj has been in custody in The Hague for nine years.
In his claim filed before judges on January 12, Seselj said he should be compensated for issues including delays in his case.
The 57-year-old nationalist went on trial in 2006 and faces nine counts of war crimes and crimes against humanity committed between 1991 and 1993.
He denies the allegations.
Seseslj has been suffering health problems.
