A group of trucks hauling NATO supplies bound for Afghanistan has been attacked in Pakistan's Balochistan province, RFE/RL's Radio Mashaal reports.
Three trucks were said to have been destroyed but there did not appear to have been any casualties.
There was no immediate word on the identities of the attackers, but the perpetrators of such strikes have frequently escaped justice.
The attack comes as the international coalition has increasingly
turned to alternate routes, stretching from the Baltic and Black seas through the Central Asian republics and known collectively as the "Northern Distribution Network," to deliver fuel and other essential supplies for NATO operations.
Militants fighting central authorities in Afghanistan and Pakistan have repeatedly attacked the slow-moving convoys as they shuttle supplies to mountainous eastern Afghanistan.
