A spokesman for the Pakistani Taliban has denied that the group has agreed to a cease-fire or is in talks with the government.
The denial, quoted by AP, came as officials said a November 23 attack on a police station in northwestern Pakistan had killed two police officers.
The report quoted Taliban spokesman Ehsanullah Ehsan as claiming responsibility for the attack, near Dera Ismail Khan.
Police officer Sohail Khan is quoted as saying militants threw grenades at the Daraban police station, then opened fire and killed two officers inside. Four policemen were reported wounded.
The report also says the militants grabbed guns and police uniforms and escaped.
