This week the world lost a hero. Vaclav Havel was a champion of the disenfranchised, a beacon for those who seek freedom, and a great friend to RFE/RL. In his honor, we will project this image of him on the outside of our broadcast headquarters for the offical three-day mourning period.

On behalf of the entire RFE/RL family, I would like to convey our condolences to the Havel family, the people of the Czech Republic and Slovakia, and the millions of people around the world who were in some way touched and inspired by Vaclav Havel’s life.

- Steve Korn, RFE/RL President

I have Iraqi Denars and wonder if their has been any news in Iraq that radio free Iraq has in the matter of re Evaluation. The rumers here are that the Central Bank of Iraq has re valued their Dinars and this is happening this week after the Jan. 1 2012 date.
I don't understand why the radio station has not reported a story on this and if its true or not?
their is unbelievable currency speculation on this in the rest of the world and I would think you would make world news by even any story from your station as any news at all, I know your listener status would soar in the rest of the world right now with ANY NEWS ON THIS ? even if its a rumor report?
