(Prague, Czech Republic--November 8, 2007) RFE/RL President Jeffrey Gedmin participated in a panel discussion on November 5 with Michael Oreskes, Executive Editor of the "International Herald Tribune" and Nick Fraser, BBC's head of international documentaries as part of the launch of the BBC's 10-part documentary series, "Why Democracy". Gedmin spoke on the ideals of democracy and how to promote them during the panel, sponsored jointly by the BBC and the International Herald Tribune and held at the Courthouse Hotel Kempinski in London.
