Russia's football federation has been fined 35,000 euros ($44,000) for the unruly behavior of its fans at the team's final Euro 2012 game.

UEFA said the latest punishment relates to "the setting off and throwing of fireworks by spectators, and displaying of illicit banners" during the Group A match against Greece on June 16.

It took the total amount of fines handed to Russia's football federation at Euro 2012 to 185,000 euros.

It was first fined 20,000 euros after Russian supporters attacked stadium staff in Wroclaw at its first match, against the Czech Republic.

It was then fined a further 30,000 euros after supporters displayed "illicit" nationalist flags and threw fireworks onto the pitch at the game against Poland.

Bloody picture, literally. One way or another the West has to deal with Nazi Russia. It goes from bad to worst.

"The West" is too busy trying to deal with its financial system, let alone a major global power. The US administration recently borrowed another $ trillion from China so as not to default on the repayment of interest on it's government loans as they fell due. The only deal with Russia the US will be looking for is another loan.

geez.. accept my condolescences.. West "dealing" with bloody Russia now looks more and more like begging Russia for money to save assorted EU members from bankruptcy, and begging Russia to let glorious US Army flee Afghanistan via Russian territory, preferrably with pants still on
