Six Russians Dead In Italian Alps Accident


Six Russian tourists have been killed in a snowmobile accident in the Italian Alps.

Two other Russians were reported seriously injured in the incident on January 4 on Cermis mountain in Trentino Province.

Italian news agencies report that the snowmobile is believed to have veered out of control as it traveled along the piste and plunged down an escarpment.

The cause of the crash was not immediately clear.

There were four men and two women among those who died in the crash.

Five of the dead and one of the injured men were tourists from Russia's southern Krasnodar region.

One of the dead women and the other injured man worked in Italy in the tourism industry.
