Former world chess champion and Russian opposition figure Garry Kasparov has denied claims he bit a policeman and said he will file a complaint with a court.
Talking to journalists at Moscow's Khamovniki district police department, Kasparov said he had not bitten anyone and called the allegation a lie.
Kasparov was detained outside Moscow’s Khamovnichesky Court on August 17 when the court was rendering a verdict in the case of the anti-Putin Pussy Riot punk group members.
One of the police officers who removed Kasparov from the spot complained later that Kasparov had bitten him.
Kasparov was summoned to the district police for questioning over the alleged incident.
