The Russian skier who was hospitalized after a serious accident at the Sochi Winter Olympic Games says she has no feeling from the waist down.

Maria Komissarova, 23, has undergone several surgeries since breaking her spine earlier this month during training at the Olympic ski cross venue in the Rosa Khutor Extreme Park.

Komissarova wrote on her Instagram page that she doesn't "feel the body below the navel."

However, Komissarova said she is strong, and believes she will eventually be back on her feet.

After undergoing initial surgeries in Russia, Komissarova has been rehabilitating at a clinic in Munich, Germany.

Komissarova posted a picture of herself at the hospital along with her fiancé.

Before leaving Russia, she was visited by President Vladimir Putin.

Russian authorities said the state would pay for her treatment.
