Serbian Couple Killed In Kosovo

A Serbian couple has been found shot dead in their home south of the Kosovo capital, Pristina.

They were found by a neighbor in the village in southeastern Kosovo where they had returned in 2004, five years after the 1999 war.

"Each of them had been shot with one bullet," police spokesman Agim Gashi told AFP by telephone, adding that the motive was unknown.

Police identified the husband and wife as aged 52 and 50.

Gashi said police were carrying out "an extensive investigation" into the killings.

The Serbian government condemned the attack, calling it an attempt to compel the few remaining Serbs to leave Kosovo.

the muslims of kosovo are simply reacting to the tremendous evil the serbian people inflicted on muslims both in bosnia and kosovo. hatred and revenge run deep; as a serb, i can understand why my fellow countrymen are being killed in kosovo; we brought this upon ourselves.

What is amazing here is that no one EVER gets caught for killing Serbs in Kosovo and the police force there is an absolute joke! When are the international forces going to step in and bring justice or do they only care about justice as a one- way street? When are these high and mighty human rights folks going to stand on the side of justice when the Serbs are victims? It certainly did not happen in Bosnia on multiple occassions (Krajina ethnic cleansing, Tuzla troop massacre, pre-Srebrenica rampages against Serb enclaves) nor is it happening in Kosovo since 1999? Sadly the EU justice is blind to its own ambitions in the region, and it has manifested itself with this terrible article that barely recognizes the victims and will surely be pushed aside by RFE long before the perpetrators are caught - they certainly won't by the KPS (would love to know their record of resolving murder cases against Serbs since 1999). Sad...

Of course, every human life is precious, so I condemn this act (providing it wasn't a murder/suicide, or a provocation by a Serbian agent, with the purpose of framing innocent Albanians for the murders: let's not jump to conclusions here!). However, I think the real culprits are the Serbian political leaders. These rogues and vagabonds claim that Kosovo is theirs! How would you feel if you were a Kosovar Albanian, that is, one of the true natives of Kosova?

Like an Eskimo in Africa, claiming penguins come from the Sahara. If Albanians are from Kosovo, how come there is nothing Albanian in Kosovo :-) ... I was there, all I saw are old christian monasteries with Serbian relics, whose saints had their eyes scratched out by knives. If that is native to them, why the hell do they destroy their own heritage. Kosovo "Albanians" are Ottoman reminescents that stayed behind when their empire collapsed, real Albanians are christians that live in very low concentrations in the southern boundary with Greece.
