Three Years After Estemirova's Death, Supporters Say 'No Progress' In Case

Three years after rights activist Natalya Estemirova was abducted and murdered in Russia's North Caucasus republic of Chechnya, her supporters are accusing the Kremlin of sabotaging the investigation into her killing.

Oleg Orlov, the head of the rights group Memorial, told Ekho Moskvy radio there has been "no progress" in identifying the true culprits in the case, and said authorities in Moscow and Chechnya have sought to impede the investigation.

In a statement, the global watchdog Amnesty International said it believed Russian authorities had no intention of finding those responsible for the murder.

Estemirova, an activist with Memorial, was abducted and shot dead on July 15, 2009.

She was investigating alleged human rights abuses by police loyal to Chechen strongman Ramzan Kadyrov at the time of her death.

that was anti-Russian propaganda posting by a friendly RFE/RL staffer. US is ruled by mafia which stages sham "two-party" elections which are in effect sham show of pre-selected "candidates"

Of all abductions, murders, massacres, etc. involving Chechnya, there is not a single case when I get the chills other than Estemirova's case.

It was looking for information of her abduction in the Russian language some years ago that I found out you put any word in Cyrillic (try Chechnya, for example) in Google Images and you get all sorts of disturbing and graphic imagery.

God bless Canadian boxer William Plotnikov who was killed by terrorist Russian thugs in the North Caucasus. William was a civilian who came to the competition and to meet with his Dagestani boxer friends. The bastards Russians even gave him a nickname "The Canadian". No one ever heard of "The Canadian" before. If there was "The Canadian" among the freedom fighters Russians would be urinating boiling water claiming he was the CIA operative.

I don't know how "Canadian" got among "terrorists" in Dagestan.
Often "anti-terrorist" is the Russian racist genocide, like children,
Osetins from Beslan, or Unesco Bashkirian gests, or Abkhazia,
The elderly, women and children genocided as whole families,
Or individually, even babies. Boxer could be in "wrong place".

In former USSR they didn't let me go to any sport club at all.
I lived mostly in Moldova - being repopulated by the Russia.
Only in 1956, they were reorganizing USSR secret forces,
They forgot about me, I tried few sports but I was cought,
In month or two expelled with mental or phisical wounds.

Russians were saying they will be superior race, not us,
Making us sick labor or intellectual slaves - bow to Russ.
If I by accident would already know a sport - like the box,
And teach locals, non-Russians in Moldova country side,
They would murder me quite likely, along with local boys.

Not wrestling, I said hypotetic "Moldova", not in Dagestan,
Canadian was boxer, not wrestler from Mount rocks,
Not all kids are wrestlers by birth or by a design
And even Russians inviting foreign coaches.

It isn't unusual that a Westener was a fool,
Knew not Russian occupiers were Gools,
But instead of making living he's hole-full.
Have you proff Canadian and men killed
Where terrorists? More than 3 gathered?

Giveng your absence of logics - you lier,
Or have no brain - or by the gools hiered.
You are dangerous - I am possibly mad.
Russia killing me and my mother for that.
You killed my mother July 7 - she is dead.
