Want A 'U.S. Drone'? You Can Order One From Iran

Iranian officials stand near the alleged U.S. drone in a segment aired on Iranian television in early December.

Iranian state radio has said that an Iranian company is sending the United States a model of the American surveillance drone captured by Tehran, AP reports:

Tuesday’s report said the company will send the miniature of the RQ-170 Sentinel stealth drone to the Obama administration in response to a formal request from Washington last month asking Tehran to return the aircraft that went down over Iran in December.

State radio said the model will be one eightieth the size of the original aircraft. The report says the company also plans to sell the models on the Iranian market for about 70,000 rials, or around $4.

“Teribon” has posted some pictures of the miniature drone that is being manufactured by “Art Group Ayeh.

The technical director of the company is quoted by "Teribon" as saying that the toy model drone has been produced in different colors for different tastes.

We are wondering what color will the U.S. get? Will it be the color of the Iranian flag: green, white, red? Or the stars and stripes?

The drone can be ordered here.

This article is poorly written. No significant news and its focus is more or promotion of products. Maybe somebody should research into commercial ties.

It’s a desk ornament, not a detailed model. Bet the builder did not even have access to the one the Iranian claim to have captured.

I like the way the colorful crackle finish they use covers all details, including the ones that they did not miss. Apparently not available in basic white.
