Putin To Visit Ukraine In Late December

November 14, 2006 -- An aide to Russian President Vladimir Putin says Putin was expected to visit the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, this year.


Sergei Prikhodko said the visit was likely to take part in the second half of December.


Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko earlier this month said preparations were under way for Putin to visit within the framework of a joint interstate commission.
