November 30, 2006 -- Russia's chief health inspector, Gennady Onishchenko, today praised the medicinal properties of the Georgian mineral water Borjomi.
He said it will be the first banned Georgian product to return to Russia when Moscow lifts the trade embargo that Russia placed this year on Georgian agricultural products, including wine and mineral water.
Moscow cited health concerns with the products, but Tbilisi claims the ban is an act of retaliation for Georgia's pro-Western policy.
