Georgian Prime Minister Meets With Rice

December 12, 2006 -- Georgian Prime Minister Zurab Noghaideli has held talks in Washington with U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and other officials.


Officials said the talks on December 11 included discussion of Georgia's tense relations with Russia, including Moscow's threat to cut off natural-gas supplies unless Georgia agrees to pay more than double the current rate.


Noghaideli is due to continue his Washington visit today with meetings with Vice President Dick Cheney and members of Congress.
