January 20, 2007 -- Authorities in Afghanistan's southern city of Kandahar say they have arrested 11 would-be suicide bombers, including two Pakistani nationals.
Kandahar's intelligence chief Abdul Qayoom said the arrests were made over the past week.
The NATO-led force in the province said, meanwhile that one of its vehicles was struck by an explosive device but there were no injuries to the troops.
Five soldiers with the International Security Assistance Force were wounded in a similar attack in Uruzgan province yesterday.
