May 17, 2007 -- Russian railway authorities have allowed the resumption of shipments of refined oil products to Estonian ports.

Shipments had been routed away from Estonia for two weeks during political tensions over the Baltic country's recent decision to remove a Soviet-era World War II monument from downtown Tallinn.

Russian State Railway authorities said the diversions had been due to repairs.

Estonia's ports of Tallinn and Muuga are key transit points for refined Russian oil products.
