July 8, 2007 -- Iran has rejected threats of further international sanctions, saying it will not be intimidated in the dispute over its nuclear program.

The comment by Foreign Ministry spokesman Mohammad Ali Hosseini comes two days after U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said Washington and its allies were considering new sanctions against Tehran.

Hosseini also said that a team from the United Nations' nuclear watchdog, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) will visit Tehran next week to prepare a new action plan.
