IT Internship in RFE/RL

RFE/RL seeks an IT Intern for its Information Technology Department. We are offering amazing possibility to gain experience with our Computer Replacement Project. The start should be in January/February 2017. This internship will provide an opportunity to gain valuable knowledge in several areas of current end-user technologies and skills, including configuring and installing desktops and laptops running Windows 10, using configuration management database and supporting users in an international environment.

If you have:

  • Strong communication and organization skills and close attention to the details.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Stress resistance.
  • Solid troubleshooting skills.
  • Understanding customer needs in a helpful way.
  • AND:
  • Good knowledge of Windows 7 and/or Windows 10 operating system.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office 2013 and/or MS Office 2016.
  • Good knowledge of desktop and laptop computers configuration and installation.
  • ALSO:
  • English – full professional proficiency (mandatory);
  • Czech - full professional proficiency (mandatory);
  • + Any other broadcasting language is a plus.

Appointment against this post is on a local basis only. Please note that for the locally advertised positions preference will be given to those with a work permit and/or a valid residence status in the Czech Republic. Locally recruited employees should reside within commuting distance of Prague, Czech Republic, or be willing to move to take up work. They are not eligible for allowances applicable to candidates who are internationally recruited. Rather, they receive statutory benefits as per Czech labor law. Salary scales for locally recruited employees are based on the best prevailing local conditions. RFE/RL does, however, cover the costs of interview travel and, upon appointment, some relocation costs.
