Armenians are casting their ballots in the country's presidential election on February 18. President Serzh Sarkisian, who is competing against six other candidates, is expected to easily win a second term in office. Candidate Raffi Hovannisian, a 53-year old U.S.-born Armenian politician, received under 20 percent of the vote in recent opinion polls, while Sarkisian was polling at over 67 percent. It is Armenia's fifth presidential election since gaining independence in 1991. RFE/RL's Armenian Service
