Slain U.S. Soldier's Father Says Islam Is A Religion Of Peace

The father of a slain Muslim-American solider who has become a focal point of the U.S. presidential election says that Islam is a religion of peace. Khizir Khan was born in Pakistan and immigrated to the United States in 1980. His son was killed in a car bombing while serving as a U.S. soldier in Iraq in 2004. Sitting alongside his wife, Ghazala, Khan spoke to VOA about his religion, his criticism of Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, and how Pakistan is fighting against Islamic militants.
