Mass Protests In Iran Turn Deadly

Hundreds of thousands of people protested in Tehran on June 15 against what many are calling a stolen election. Supporters of the main opposition candidate, Mir Hossein Musavi, gathered in Tehran\'s Azadi Square. Musavi addressed the protesters, who gathered in defiance of a ban on mass rallies. The demonstration turned violent as protesters clashed with members of the Basij militia. Iranian media reported that seven people were killed in the clashes. This demonstrator suffered a gunshot wound. A wounded man lies on the ground after the militia fired into the crowd. A protester shows a bloodied hand after the clashes.
