RFE/RL IN THE NEWS: RFE/RL President Gedmin Interview in Georgian Newspaper
(Prague, Czech Republic--April 4, 2008) In an April 4 interview with "Georgia Today," the largest English-language newspaper in the Republic of Georgia, RFE/RL President Jeffrey Gedmin discussed his recent meeting with Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili, stating that he and the President had an open, frank conversation about relations between Georgia and Europe and the U.S., the importance of free media for democracy and the Georgia's bid for NATO accession.
