Liz FULLER is Editor-in-Chief of "RFE/RL Newsline." She graduated in 1973 from the School of Slavonic and East Studies of the University of London and spent eight months in Tbilisi in 1975 on a British Council Scholarship. She joined Radio Liberty Research as analyst for the Transcaucasus in July 1980.

Fuller covers developments in the South Caucasus, the North Caucasus and Central Asia for "RFE/RL Newsline," writes the weekly "RFE/RL Caucasus Report," edits "RFE/RL Newsline" and several other RFE/RL reports, and serves as web editor for RFE/RL's "Kazakh Report."

Fuller's primary interest is domestic political developments. She has participated in briefings at NATO and at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in London. Between 1995-1998 she monitored local media coverage of six parliamentary or presidential elections in Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia for European Institute for the Media. Her publications include "Russian Strategy in the Transcaucasus Since the Demise of the USSR," Berichte des Bundesinstituts fuer ostwissenschaftliche und internationale Studien, Cologne, 40-1994, and (with Dr. Bess A. Brown) "Die Tuerkei und die muslimischen Republiken der ehemaligen Sowjetunion," Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung, Sankt Augustin, August 1994.
