NASA's Cloud-Free View Of Earth At Night

A new video shows the Earth at night unobstructed by clouds, revealing the human impact around the world as seen in cities, borders, gas flares, and even a line of fishing boats. The video was created as a composite of images gathered by the Suomi National Polar-Orbiting Partnership satellite, a joint project of NASA and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
