In a total vacuum with no knowledge of the past or present events, one may look at these arrests and executions and say that they are probably unjust. But lets put in some context to this news story. In the 1950s Iran got its first somewhat democratic government set up and kicked the ruling king out of the country. Short while later the "oppressed" Iranians wanting freedom from this cruel government showed up in hundreds or even thousands in the streets to demonstrate against the cruelty of Mohammad Mosaddegh. In just a few years, he was removed, and jailed, and the king was returned and placed back in power. FIFTY years later, that is 50 years later, the US admitted that it was the United States and Britain working trough the US embassy personnel in Iran who planed, paid for and carried out the coup against Mosaddegh. The US and British secret agents, according to US documents, paid thousands of greedy, gulliable, or criminal people in Iran to go out and demonstrate against the government, for the government, and otherwise, in the streets of Tehran, Iran. US and British agents bribed judges, military personnel, police officers, and anyone else that could help get rid of the Democratically elected government of Iran. For 50 years they and the Americans were told that it was all done by the Iranians themselves and the Americans had absolutely no hand in the coup. Now, it turns out that it was all planed, paid for, and carried out by the American and British governments. Today the Americans, British, and Israeli agents are openly bragging that they are inside Iran and are doing what they can secretly or otherwise to bring down the Iranian government. Just a few months ago the Israelis were saying that they plan to identify and kill Iranian scientists, especially those that may be important in Iran's Nuclear program, but they are not limiting themselves in any way. Any and all Iranian Intellectuals, scientists, or otherwise are considered targets for the Israeli Assassins.

In such a context, then it is quite hard to blame the Iranian government for acting the way that it is acting. It is hard to trust the violent demonstrators of different ideologies who seem to have only one thing in common: the removal of the current Democratically elected government of Iran. That is not to say that the Iranian government people are angels. They may be corrupted and have many many faults. But putting an Israeli or American puppet government for Iranians is not the answer either. Leave the Iranians alone and let them choose their own paths in life.
