Eight-year-old Hedayat guides traffic through the Mahipar Gorge along the Kabul-Jalalabad Highway in Afghanistan. Hedayat, the eldest son of his six-member family, guides traffic with his bottle from dawn to dusk on the highway, making roughly $3 a day. Poverty and insecurity have forced thousands of children into child labor in Afghanistan.
