19 January 2006 (RFE/RL) -- High-level talks between Armenia and Azerbaijan on Nagorno-Karabakh have ended with an announcement of an upcoming meeting between the countries' presidents.
On 19 January, following a meeting in London between Armenian Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanian and Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov, RFE/RL Armenian Service Director Hrair Tamrazian spoke by telephone with Oskanian. The minister discussed progress made during the latest meetings and expectations for the upcoming summit between Armenian President Robert Kocharian and his Azerbaijani counterpart, Ilham Aliyev.
