The crowd, numbering about 100, demanded Tekebaev leave his post due the speaker's continued dealings with the family of ousted President Askar Akaev.
Two of Akaev's children -- daughter Bermet and son Aydar -- were elected to parliament in the flawed elections that sparked a mass revolt among the people that eventually chased Akaev from office last month.
Bermet Akaeva returned to Kyrgyzstan last week. Some opposition supporters said new government officials were being too lenient in allowing the former president's children to return and have voiced opposition to either taking their seat in parliament.
Tekebaev said today that neither of Akaev's children were likely to take up their seats as deputies.
Tekebaev said rumors that the Bermet and Aydar would be allowed to occupy their seats in parliament were being spread deliberately to raise tensions.
