Lithuania Says Russia Obstructing Plane Crash Probe

21 September 2005 -- Lithuanian Defense Minister says Russia is obstructing an investigation into the crash last week of a Russian warplane in the Baltic country.

Defense Minister Gediminas Kirkilas said today that Russia has not provided correct information about radioactive materials Lithuania says were aboard the jet.

Kirkilas also said that the pilot, Major Valery Troyanov, has changed his testimony several times, also hampering the
investigation.

It's not yet clear what caused the Russian Sukhoi-27 warplane to crash on 16 September.
