Police spokeswoman Dragana Kajganic says that the 38-year-old man, Dejan Simic, told Karic's lawyers that he had been offered nearly $730,000 to kill their client.

Karic, a billionaire entrepreneur, is currently under investigation for allegedly trying to bribe Serbian lawmakers.
