Georgian President Postpones Visit To Ukraine


Saakashvili (left) with Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko in January (official site) March 31, 2006 -- Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili has put off a working visit to Ukraine scheduled for next week.

Saakashvili's office gave no reason for the postponement and said it did not know when the visit would take place.

Saakashvili, who is currently in Italy, was due to arrive in Ukraine on April 3 and stay there three days.
