Belarus, Iran Vow To Boost Economic Ties


Belarusian President Alyaksandr Lukashenka (file photo) (AFP) April 21, 2006 -- Belarusian President Alyaksandr Lukashenka today called for an expansion of economic links with Iran, saying he was not satisfied with the amount of trade between Minsk and Tehran.


Lukashenka made the comments at the start of talks with visiting Iranian Trade Minister Masud Mirkazemi.


Mirkazemi in turn said Iran is ready to boost cooperation with Belarus.
