Serbian Premier Criticizes EU

Vojislav Kostunica (file photo) (CTK) June 19, 2006 -- Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica says the European Union's policies toward his country has had only negative consequences.

A Serbian daily quotes Kostunica as saying Serbia expects a "true partnership based on mutual trust, without conditioning and pressure."

The EU suspended pre-membership talks with Serbia earlier this year following Belgrade's failure to capture top UN war crimes suspect Ratko Mladic.
