Turkish Foreign Minister Heads To U.S.


Turkish Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul (epa) February 4, 2007 -- Turkish Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul flew to the United States today for six days of talks on issues ranging from Iraq to the future of the divided island of Cyprus.


Gul told journalists that a fire is "raging" across Iraq.


Gul is to meet U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, and UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon.
