Thousands Attend Burial Of Bosnian War Victims

The cemetery at Bratunac (file photo) (epa) May 12, 2007 -- Thousands of people today attended the burial of nearly 100 Bosnian Muslims killed by Bosnian Serb forces during the 1992-95 Bosnian war.

The ceremony in the eastern town of Bratunac was held under tight security after local Serbs opposed the burial of the victims near the town centre.

An estimated 600 Bosnian Muslims were killed after Serbs captured Bratunac at the outbreak of the war. More than 400 bodies are still missing.
