Warsaw, March 26 (RFE/RL) - Presidents AleksanderKwasniewski of
Poland and Alyaksandr Lukashenka of Belarus are planning to meet
this weekend (March 30) at the Belarusia forest retreat of Viskule
for talks on bilateral relations.
Announcing the meeting, Polish presidential spokesman, Marek Siwiec,
has told reporters that the occasion marks a "working encounter" and
is not related to Lukashenka's plans to sign a unity pact with Russia.
Lukashenka announced last week that he would sign the pact with
Russia on April 2.
