Copenhagen, 25 November 1997 (RFE/RL) - Bulgaria's President Petar Stoyanov says that his country is determined to follow a reform course regardless of the costs involved.
Stoyanov was speaking today at a Conference on Leadership in the Swedish city of Gothenburg. He is the sole eastern political leader to take part in the conference. Other participants include former President of South Africa F. W. de Klerk and former Prime Ministers John Major of Britain, Benazir Bhutto of Pakistan.
The main aim of the conference is to bring together representatives of different political systems, cultures and schools of thought.
