Moscow, 28 June 2003 (RFE/RL) -- Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Polish counterpart Aleksander Kwasniewski today opened talks on bilateral relations while monitoring naval exercises in the Baltic Sea. The two presidents are to watch the exercises taking place near the port of Baltiisk in the Russian exclave of Kaliningrad.
Russian Defense Minister Sergei Ivanov said that the exercise includes 33 warships and other vessels from the Russia's Baltic and Northern fleets.
