Pakistan Blast Kills Four In Remote Tribal Region

A roadside bomb ripped through a commuter van in Pakistan's troubled northwestern tribal region on October 11, killing at least four people and wounding nine others.

Officials say the blast occurred in the Sunzu Darra area of Lower Orakzai, one of seven tribal districts where the military is involved in operations against Taliban and Al-Qaeda militants.

Reports say the explosives were rigged to a donkey cart.

No group claimed responsibility for the bombing, but the Taliban and other Islamist militants routinely target security forces with roadside blasts across the tribal region on Afghanistan's border.

Such attacks often kill civilians.
