Alleged IS Recruiter From Kyrgyzstan Dies After 'Jumping' Out Of Moscow Police Building


A man from Kyrgyzstan suspected of recruiting fighters for the Islamic State (IS) group has reportedly died after jumping from the fifth floor of the Moscow police building.

Russian media reports say the incident took place on March 23 in northeastern Moscow.

The suspect had been detained along with several other men and brought to the regional police department.

Police were quoted as saying that during his interrogation the man forced himself toward a window, opened it, and jumped out. He died instantly after hitting the ground.

Russia's Investigative Committee and Federal Security Service have launched an investigation into the incident.
