MONDAY, March 19:

Belarus: Belarusian President Alyaksandr Lukashenka pays a working visit to Moscow.

Bosnia-Herzegovina: The Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights, Thomas Hammarberg, visits Sarajevo to present a paper on postwar justice in the former Yugoslavia.

Iran: Atlantic Council in Washington hosts a public briefing on the dynamics of Iran's internal politics.

Moldova/U.S.: Moldovan Foreign Minister Iurie Leanca visits Washington (to March 20).

Russia: The head of the International Committee of the Red Cross Jakob Kellenberger meets Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in Moscow.

Russia: Moscow hosts the meeting of the Eurasian Economic Community (EurAsEC) at the level of heads of state.

Ukraine: Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych pays a working visit to Russia (to March 20).

Iran: Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and President Mahmud Ahmadinejad address the nation on the eve of the Persian New Year.

Moldova: European Court of Human Rights issues a judgment concerning Moldova.

Council of Europe: PACE Committee on Equality and Non-Discrimination holds debates on racial discrimination and Muslim women in Europe.

WEDNESDAY, March 21:

Moldova: Inauguration of President-elect Nicolae Timofti to be held in Chisinau.

Montenegro: Montenegrin Prime Minister Igor Luksic meets with EU President Herman Van Rompuy in Brussels.
